Melissa Ashley Hernandez is a Latinx writer and performer. She received her BA in Acting and Directing from DeSales University, where she is currently working towards her MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing.
She is the author of The Love in Between (2021), and you can find more of her poetry in Versification Zine, The Daily Drunk Magazine, and Fahmidan Journal, as well as The Minison Zine and forthcoming in Dwelling Literary and Bandit Fiction. Her short story, “The Rum Keg Girl,” can be found in Paranormal Contact: A Quiet Horror Confessional published by Cemetery Gates Media, and her short story, “Lady Killer,” can be found in Volume 4 of Kandisha Press’ WOMEN OF HORROR Anthology.
In 2020, she founded the literary magazine The Minison Project, where she is the Editor-in-Chief. She will also start as a poetry and photography editor for Versification’s Rejection Letters in January of 2021.
